Hossein has been investing in the O&G technology space since 2013, leading 20+ investments in collaboration with many E&P and OFS companies. His areas of diligence and investment include subsurface characterization and imaging, data analytics, oilfield water management, downhole tools, automation and mobile oil field solutions.
Prior to Darcy, Hossein spent 8 years at McKinsey & Company, in the Energy and Oil & Gas practice. As a Partner, Hossein advised many CEOs and executives of Fortune 100 companies, private equity investors and sovereign wealth funds in North America, Europe, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
Prior to Darcy, Jeremy was a Director at a Houston based energy technology investment firm, where he played a key role in deal origination and fund management. Prior to energy technology investing, Jeremy worked in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) at Occidental Petroleum, where he acted as an advisor for business unit operations and other support groups to frame and evaluate project economics, and support the capital budgeting decision process.
Jeremy began his career as a consultant at Deloitte, and still maintains an active CPA license in the state of Texas.
Richard is a geophysicist with oilfield, geotechnical and environmental engineering experience. His background includes geology, geophysics, geomechanics, rock physics, petrophysics, petroleum and civil engineering, and writing about science and technology.
Before joining Darcy Partners, Richard was writer and editor for Oilfield Review, the Schlumberger journal about technology and innovation. Previously he worked at Occidental Petroleum, Chevron, a geoscience mapping services company, Stanford University, and the University of Michigan.
Andre has focused his work on the interface of new technology, economics and regulatory environments, helping both established and new companies in the natural gas processing, refining, biofuels and upstream sectors.
Andre was Vice President of Strategy at KiOR, a biofuels company in Houston where he led technology evaluation, risk management and economics leading to a $150 million IPO in June of 2011.
Prior to joining KiOR, Andre was a consultant at McKinsey and Company focused mainly on large capital projects, organizational change and risk management. Andre also has worked at Archer Daniels Midland as a process engineer and foreman in their ethanol facility in Decatur, Illinois. Andre holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
