Cutting-Edge Technologies means different things to different people and can cover a wide range of areas. For this Forum, Cutting-Edge is defined as a solution with potential to add material value to onshore exploration & production companies within 3 to 5 years, and which will be viewed by most Forum participants as being of interest, having a degree of novelty, and possibly falling within their company’s future risk appetite.
Some technologies have been around for many years but are just becoming field-tested, while other technologies have been proven in certain applications and are being extended into new areas. Examples include extensions from subsea to onshore applications, or even from other fields such as medical research to reservoir analysis.
