About the Topic
Haru Oni is the first integrated, commercial, industrial-scale efuels project worldwide. The objective of the project is to produce low carbon gasoline (eGasoline) and eMethanol via electrochemical and synthesis processes. On the one hand, the process will produce clean hydrogen via electrolysis using wind energy and on the other hand, it will use biogenic or captured atmospheric CO2. These would then be combined to form the fuels mentioned above.
As such, the Haru Oni project is the first-of-its-kind in the world and most importantly, in Latin America, with project partners being Siemens Energy (our speakers for this session), ExxonMobil, ENEL, ENAP, Porsche, and HIF (the project lead).
