About the Topic
Drilling continues to be a large part of the capital budget for E&P companies and, therefore, the pursuit of performance, optimization and reducing costs is still a major goal. Therefore, most operators are increasing their search for innovative and creative solutions. Significant innovations have taken place in drilling the past five years, all across the drill string components.
Darcy has researched this area to focus on exploring and showcasing technology that is not simply just product improvements in R&D, but more so on technology that is expected to increase productivity and impact performance. This Event will focus on emerging technologies, solutions and vendors that are enabling operators to drill high-quality wells at low cost and to capture and process critical information during the drilling process to maximize their productivity and economic value. Join us to find out which big milestones have been developed in the space of drilling hardware.
About the Innovator
This Forum will feature an overview of technology offerings from two leading players in the drilling hardware space:
- Igor Kocis, CEO at GA Drilling, will provide an overview of their novel drill bit technology (Anchorbit) that has seen successful field testing with Nabors, and can significantly reduce stick-slip. Additionally, an introduction to the hybrid plasma-bit will also be made. Finally, Cameron Maresh from Nabors will discuss the synergies of the bit technologies for Nabors as an end-user of the technology.
- George Sutherland, President at Kinetic Upstream, will provide an overview of their recently deployed, development of an automated, autonomous, self-adjusting RSS that is able to adjust based on two methods: geometrical and geological.
About the Audience
This Forum is targeted at all members associated with upstream drilling operations, onshore & offshore, especially in areas such as:
- Operational: Drillers, directional drillers, drilling engineers, optimization engineers
- Managerial: Drilling superintendents, innovation managers, wells engineers
Typical champions of this technology include drilling engineers, optimization engineers, company men. Typical buyers of this technology focus on drilling superintendents or service companies and manufacturers.
