Regardless of size and location, asset management for every electric grid is inherently complex due to the number of assets deployed and the distributed nature of those deployment. Suboptimal performance of those assets, or even failure, is inevitable. But a single failure can lead to giant consequences: power outages, environmental impacts, damages to property and health.

There are several technologies that can be deployed to get the best understanding of asset performance, and with that reduce the risk of these failures and consequences. This event will discuss these solutions through the concept of the Asset Management Pyramid, and specifically highlight the plug-and-play sensors for monitoring a variety of assets and use cases that are provided by Sensorfield.
