We will be discussing UCAP's supercapacitors and their potential in fast-response and hybrid applications. In hybrid configurations, the supercapacitors provide the quick burst of energy for an application, while other energy storage technology handle the long-term energy needs, enabling an energy storage system with both capabilities.
Constantine Spanos, Senior R&D Specialist, has been characterizing different supercapacitors and doing simulation studies to understand what the peak reduction potential and energy recuperation potential would be for their application for train braking. He will be sharing insights on UCAP's technology and conclusions on supercapacitor technology.
In an attempt to de-risk these new energy storage technologies, Indian Energy is carrying out a project where they will test different vendors to verify their claims in a real world setting. They will do this through their Hybrid Modular Storage Solution (HMSS) at the Rapid Integration & Commercialization Unit (RICU). They will be working with UCAP to test the capabilities of their product and analyze the benefits of paring supercapacitors with LDES technologies.
Join us on this Event to get a better understanding of supercapacitor's benefits on the energy industry, specially when paring these with energy storage technologies for grid-scale and microgrid applications.
