As part of the Vaca Muerta Technology Working Group (VMWG), this session will showcase FracView® — a high-resolution, memory-based borehole imaging technology from PetroMar (a Nabors company) — which enables fast, formation-integrated insights without compromising drilling performance.
FracView® combines ultrasonic imaging, borehole caliper measurements, and drilling dynamics into a single run, delivering 360° visuals and structural data in both oil- and water-based muds. It allows operators to detect natural and induced fractures early, supporting near-real-time geomechanical interpretation and optimizing stage design collaboration. For Vaca Muerta operators, the ability to visualize fracture geometry, borehole quality, and drilling efficiency within hours of tool retrieval presents a game-changing opportunity to accelerate decision-making and enhance well construction outcomes.
