There's no shortage of lists available to summarize 2023, but here at Darcy, we have a unique data set with activity on Darcy Connect from over 10,000 energy company Connect Users. Our data highlights which innovators gained most attention on Darcy Connect through views, clicks, likes, follows, meetings scheduled, fundings, and other factors. Combined with analysis from our Research Team about technology developments and market traction, we have selected the Top 10 Innovators from 2023 in each of our coverage channels. This is our way of saying: "these are the innovators that your peers are most interested in, and that our Researchers view as novel and impactful - so you should learn more about them". In this article, you will find the Innovators that made it on the list in the category of O&G Completions.
But there is far more detail to look at than what you'll find here.
- The Innovator names are all linked to their Storefront, where you can find in-depth information on their products, business models, and our Research Team's insights. Here, Connect Users are able to schedule meetings with the Innovators or request updates.
- Throughout Q1, you will find weekly articles like this with Top 10 lists from our Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Sustainability, and Energy Transition research programs.
- All articles will be followed by a Darcy Live Event. On the Event page, you can find the full Darcy Live schedule for Q1.
Darcy Connect is also the place to go to watch a recording of Best of 2023: Completions, which was held on January 31st, 2024.
The Top 10 Innovators from 2023 in Completions (listed in no particular order):

- Rowan Energy: A company that organically grew alongside the desire for wet sand, Rowan can provide rock knockout sand filtration services cheaper than service companies and makes the wet sand model more palatable.
- Co-Stim Perforating: Highly unique, CoStim’s non-explosive perforating cap promises improved fracture initiation and reduced breakdown/treating pressures, building upon conventional learnings about perforation charges.
- PrePad: Completion design software is not new, but one that approaches the problem from the outside (supply chain & cost concerns) and not the reservoir is – PrePad is creating a novel niche for completions optimization.
- RevSolz: A leader in incorporating AI/Machine-Learning tools into the monitoring and analysis of frac stage, drawing actionable insights that allow for consistent, incremental improvements on stimulation outcomes.
- Novi Labs: A two-time winner of Darcy Partners’ “Best of” award, Novi Labs has one of the highest levels of member engagement across all innovators in the Darcy Connect system.
- ZeroSound: Noise damage and pollution is increasingly of concern for oil & gas – ZeroSound provides a one-of-a-kind solution that applies noise cancellation technology to industrial scenarios, addressing a major ESG concern.
- NexTier: An integrated oilfield service provider, NexTier is highlighted in 2023 for their innovations delivering on ESG values; their electric driven blenders is the first major advancement in eliminating emissions from the frac site in years, lapping other electric fleet providers.
