Find below a list of VC deals done on the past week:

  • Ascend Elements a lithium-ion battery recycling and materials company. Ascend raised $50m from SK Group.
  • Blue World Technologies developer of methanol fuel cells, raised $37m in Series B funding from Breakthrough Energy Ventures, Vaekstfonden, and DEUTZ AG.
  • Cellfion a company that developed ion-selective membranes for electrochemical energy and conversion devices, raised $1.3m in Seed funding from Voima Ventures, LIU Invest, KTH Holding, Klimatet Invest, and Almi Invest GreenTech.
  • Convalt Energy a company that has a panel portfolio for utility-scale solar, rooftop solar, and builds integrated panels, is going public via SPAC GigInternational1.
  • Direct-C offers a polymer nano-composite platform technology for use in leak detection in the upstream and midstream oil & gas sectors. Direct-C has raised $3.9m in Series A funding from Henkel and GreenSky Capital.
  • GreenTrade a blockchain-based carbon credit and impact claims marketplace, raised $750k in Pre-seed funding from Cerulean Ventures, Flori Ventures, Draft Ventures, and Allegory Labs.
  • Pixxel a space data company, building a constellation of hyperspectral earth imaging satellites and the analytical tools to mine insights from that data, raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Accenture Ventures.
  • Populus a comprehensive digital solution that empowers cities to manage their streets, and develop data-driven policies with access to data from mobility operators (shared bikes, scooters, and cars), raised $11m in Series A funding from Zero Infinity Partners, Climactic VC, Comcast Ventures, Precursor Ventures, and FootPrint Coalition.
  • Recurve provides resource planning, fleet management, and a ledger for tracking the performance of demand side energy assets at scale. Recurve raised $18m in Series B funding from Calpine Energy Solutions, Quantum Energy Partners, Toshiba Energy Systems and Energy Foundry.
  • SparkCharge makes portable modular ultra fast charging units for electric vehicles, raised $7m in additional Series A funding from Cleveland Avenue.
  • Wattics an energy and IoT analytics platform for global firms to tackle sustainability, energy-saving & green certifications, was acquired by EnergyCap, a State College, PA-based provider of energy and sustainability ERP software.
  • Zanskar, a company providing an AI platform for geothermal discovery designed to identify and de-risk new geothermal resources, raised $12m in Series A funding from USV, Lowercarbon, Munich Re Ventures, Safar Partners, Grantham Foundation, and First Star Ventures.
