Latest investments and partnerships
August, 2024
KBR and Avina are collaborating on a project to produce sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in the US.
KBR will provide technology licensing, proprietary engineering design, and front-end engineering design (FEED) using the PureSAF℠ technology, developed by Swedish Biofuels, which KBR exclusively licenses worldwide.
This project aims to produce 120 million gallons of SAF per year, utilizing various feedstocks including ethanol, mixed alcohols, carbon dioxide, and synthesis gas.
Business Model
Avina is positioning itself as a vertically integrated clean energy company, focusing on the production and distribution of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
- Build, Own, and Operate (BOO): Avina develops, constructs, owns, and operates green hydrogen and hydrogen derivative plants. This approach allows them to maintain control over the entire production process and infrastructure.
