Global carbon capture capacity will reach 440 million tons per year (Mtpa) by 2034, requiring a total investment of $196 billion and reaching the US’s climate goals will require CCS of 400 million to 1.8 billion annually by 2050. Action is needed today to get to the expected emissions reductions to avoid a global temperature increase above 2°C. At this Carbon Capture Innovation Forum, we will review the current state of carbon capture technologies and what to expect in the coming years.
During the event you will hear Darcy's insights and see our vendor landscapes. Then you will hear from the technology developers about their innovations and value proposition with first-hand experience from users and investors in the room. You will finalize the day with an operator-only roundtable to discuss the challenges you and your peers are facing in the carbon capture space.
Finalizing the day, there will be a happy hour with the opportunity to further connect with fellow attendees and innovators while enjoying a well-deserved beverage.
These will be the presenting innovators:
- Entropy Inc - a solvent-based carbon capture solution currently capturing over 50 ktpa in Canada
- ION Clean Energy - a solvent-based carbon capture solution currently piloting at Los Medanos, California, with agreements with Calpine to build the first commercial (Mtpa-level) plant.
- Aqualung Carbon Capture - a facilitated transport membrane with innovations using vacuum
- Ardent - a facilitated transport membrane company with manufacturing capabilities
- Mantel - a molten-salt borate-based sorbent high-temperature carbon capture technology
- Mangrove Systems - a digital MRV solution provider to track the CO2 molecule across the value chain to maximize revenues
