This Event will explore Darcy's latest research into Grid DERMS deployment, including how leading utilities are pivoting from pilot to enterprise-scale implementation. For Darcy's perspective on the entire DER management ecosystem, please click here: DER Management - Innovator Landscape
Grid DERMS platforms are software solutions which provide a critical link between a utility's control room and the DER which are interconnected to its distribution networks. Further, Grid DERMS is often planned as a pathway to operationalizing customer DER which are accessible to the utility via customer programs (which are commonly administered by platforms often called Edge DERMS).
During this Event, we will provide an overview of our recent Grid DERMS Provider Survey, which documents, for each Grid DERMS product on the market, the level of demonstration (LOD) of the following use cases:
We will also spotlight Grid DERMS provider mPrest and its ongoing work with Energy Queensland, one of Australia's largest electric distribution utilities (via Energex and Ergon Energy, its two distribution network service providers, or DNSPs).
About the Innovator:
mPrest was founded in 2003 and is currently headquartered in Israel (with offices in Australia, Europe, and the US). Its focus is on developing and deploying real-time and mission-critical orchestration and optimization software for defense and energy sectors. For the energy sector, mPrest has gained international experience with utilities, regional grid operators, and energy markets to harmonize millions of DER with grid operations via a range of use cases (from monitoring and situational awareness to granular demand response and economic optimization of DER dispatch). mPrest offers its Grid DERMS as a multi-tenant cloud-based service, which enables a flexible delivery model and scalable architecture.
