Flaring
Production
Flaring Intensity has become a metric of concern to many producers due to the increase pressure by regulators, environmental groups, and government entities. To address stakeholder concerns, many producers have been working to increase visibility on flaring through technology and increased reporting, but the road to zero flares is still quite far. On this road, however, there are several ways to leverage technology in a strategic way to execute the long-term strategy of flaring intensity reduction.
During this event, a panel of experts on the topic will gather to discuss the following topics and engage in a Q&A with operators in the space.
Topics to Cover
- If flaring, ensure that it is done in a controlled manner and verify through increased monitoring.
- Strategically prioritize addressing large/long-lasting flares to more efficiently reduce environmental & safety exposure.
- Adopt modular, rapidly deployed, technologies for smaller more intermittent flares to continue to make progress.
- Design/plan midstream operations, such as takeaway capacity, to avoid the need to flare.
