Addionics: is a company specializing in advanced battery technology. They enhance battery performance through a 3D electrode architecture, improving energy density, power, and longevity for various applications. They raised $39m in Series B funding from Deep Insight, GM Ventures, and Scania Growth Capital.
CarbonBlue: an Israel-based water-based CO2 removal service provider, raised $10m in Seed funding from FreshFund, Ibex Investors, ENGIE New Ventures, and Secret Chord Ventures.
Cowboy Clean Fuels: based on a patented technology developed at the University of Wyoming, is commercializing a process to produce renewable natural gas from alternative biomass feedstocks using coal seams in the Powder River Basin as in-situ geo-bio reactors, raised $13m in Series B funding from Machan Capital Investments.
ecop: produces industrial rotary heat pumps using multi-patented technology. Their pumps, requiring no refrigerant, achieve high temperatures and efficiency, aiding in energy recovery and cost savings. They raised $7m in Grant and Equity funding from the European Innovation Council.
EneCoat: is a company that specializes in developing solar energy solutions, focusing on creating solar cells that are more efficient, flexible, and environmentally friendly compared to traditional solar panels, raised $34m in Series C funding from Kyoto University Innovation Capital, Mitsubishi HC Capital, SPARX Asset Management, and Woven Capital.
FuturePlus: part of The Sustainability Group, is a company that has deployed a sustainability and ESG management, improvement and reporting platform, raised $4m in Seed funding from Sustainability Group.
IRG Erie: develops advanced plastic recycling technology to efficiently sort and repurpose all types of plastic, received a $183m conditional commitment for a loan guarantee from the US DOE Loan Programs Office.
Kyoto Fusioneering: focused on developing advanced technologies for commercial fusion reactors, raised $7m from In-Q-Tel, Marubeni, and Nichicon.
LanzaJet: a producer of aviation fuel that captures waste gas emissions and uses bacteria to turn it into useable ethanol fuel, raised an undisclosed amount of Corporate Strategic funding from Airbus.
NanoGraf: a high-energy-density Si-based anode material that has the long-term potential to replace graphitic-based anodes in lithium-ion batteries for a range of applications, from consumer electronics to electric vehicles, raised $65m in Series B funding from Volta Energy Technologies, Arosa Capital, Emerald, Evergreen Climate Innovations, and TechNexus Venture Collaborative.
Quatt: is a start-up founded in 2021, whose goal is to accelerate the transition to sustainable heating in the Netherlands and abroad, raised $25m in Growth funding from Blue Earth Capital, Impact Equity Fund, and Seaya.
SHINE Technologies: a nuclear fusion developer, raised $32m in Grant funding from the US Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration.
Sparxell: has developed colourants plant-based, looking to eliminate toxic chemicals from colouration - fine powders, pearls and glitter, films, foils and ribbons as well as special formats like sequins and raised $3m in Seed funding from Circular Innovation Fund, Cycle Capital, Demeter, Earth.vc, and SNØCAP VC.
Splight: a technology business that creates artificial energy for digital solutions in existing power infrastructure, leveraging the unutilized capacity of the grid, raised $12m in Seed funding from noa, EDP Ventures, Elewit, Draper Cygnus, Draper B1, and other investors.
ZeroAvia: is a company that enables zero-emission air travel at scale, starting with 500-mile short-haul trips, at half of today's cost. The Novel approach removes many limitations of the current zero-emission programs. They raised $14m in Grant funding from Aerospace Technology Institute.
